Ear Plucking

What Are the Benefits

sketch of dog

Dog ear hair grows from within the ear and is generally found in the smaller breeds and long-eared dogs. If the hair growing out of the ear is thick it can cause problems such as preventing airflow which can lead to moisture build-up and infections.

Plucking the ears on a regular basis to keep the hair blocking the canal to a minimum can help prevent ear infections and other problems including aural hematoma.

Plucking the ear hair out will also mean that it is more easily visible if there is any infection or problem in the ear canal.
